Welcome to the 2019 Pre-Season Classic presented by GPS.   We are excited to host this event across two locations with over 180 teams registering to attend.

 
Please see below information on pertinent items relating to the event.  Please also share with all parents.

Coaches and Managers - Download the BAND app, the Official Tournament Communication App of the GPS FL Pre-Season Classic.
 
If any Club who has 2 or more teams participating and see that they have teams in the same age group bracketed incorrectly and can simply be swapped we can make that adjustment only.

 

Each bracket was individually created and reviewed with consideration given to GotSoccer rankings, and all standings from those teams that participated in tournaments, and GCF / NPL / FPL scores from the Fall season.  We have worked hard to make every bracket as competitive as possible.

 

I ask you to understand the knock on effects of moving team after team.

Please share this link with all parents as this schedule will contain full and up to date info on field numbers, kick off times and standings. We remind all coaches and parents to review this schedule and not rely on team apps that may have outdated or incorrect info.

 
At this point it is simply impossible to move any further games without it having a direct knock on effect.  We ask all teams to adhere to this finalized schedule.
 
 
TOURNAMENT INFO

  

Early Check-in:

 
 Omni Hotel, Championsgate (Hotel Lobby)
 

Friday January 18th: 6:00PM-9:00PM

 
Northwest Recreational Complex,  Apopka (PADS 13-16) - Pop Warner Office
 
Friday January 18th: 4:30PM-7:30PM
 
 
Saturday January 19th: Check-in opens at 7am at both locations. 
 
Championsgate Fields (note Saturday check in is at the Tournament HQ at the fields and NOT the hotel Lobby)
 
Saturday Check-In/Referee Registration and Tournament HQ in Apopka will be at the Pavilion by fields 5-7.  Check-in will also be available by PADS 9-12.  Not at the Amphitheater.
 
We will also extend an opportunity for teams to check in one hour before (we recommend being in line 90 minutes prior to your first game) by reporting to tournament HQ on Saturday.

 

Online Check in: Reminder - there is NO online check in for this event

  

  

CHECK IN - ROSTERS AND PLAYER CARDS

 

 - Teams must present 4 (FOUR) copies of their roster at check in. These will then be stamped with APPROVED. Teams will not be able to participate without approved tournament rosters.
 - Teams will need laminated player cards and rosters from your affiliation, i.e. FYSA, US Club. (NOT GotSoccer rosters)
 - Teams will also need waiver forms on hand for each player (either USYS / US CLUB / GPS Tournament waiver.  You do not need a tournament waiver if you have one from another affiliation) 

Guest Players - All guest players will require a guest player form and must be entered on the roster. 

 Please use your club registrar for assistance in getting your official FYSA / other approved rosters. 

 
 
PARKING - CHARGES
 
Please note that there is Parking change at Championsgate $10 per day.  Please note these are facility charges and NOT tournament charges.
  • Championsgate - $10 per day (cash only)
Please note that Championsgate operates a ZERO tolerance policy on verbal abuse to parking attendants.  The facilities will have a State Trooper present with parking attendants advised to call in the event of confrontation.  We ask all coaches and managers to reiterate to families that failure to comply to this policy will result in action not unlimited to being trespassed from the facility and tournament disqualification.  We ask that sanity prevails as we comply with park regulations.

Ages: U8-U15 Boys and Girls
Field Sizes: 7v7 – U8-U10; 9v9 – U11/U12 and 11v11 – U13-U15 (Lowest U13 division will allow U12 11v11)
Cost U8-U10: $645.00 per team
Cost U11/U12: $745.00 per team
Cost U13-U14: $795.00 per team
Cost U15: $845.00 per team

Welcome to the 9th annual GPS FL Pre-Season Classic presented by FC America. The tournament will be played over the weekend of January 18th-20th. This is a great tournament to have your teams prepared for Region Cup and State Cup. The tournament will be played out of the Northwest Sports Complex in Apopka.

Hotel Information - Stay to Play Event

The GPS FL Pre-Season Classic has partnered with Pse Event Housing to provide attendees/groups with the best available hotel rates and a smooth booking experience.

Our event is a “Stay to Play” event: A good working relationship with hotels is critical for the long-term success of our event. For this reason, teams or attendees who are traveling from out of town are required to book their rooms through our Official Travel Partner, Pse Event Housing, to ensure that our room blocks are utilized. In short, since the hotels are holding rooms for our event, we must use these rooms.
