Waltham, MA, March 27th, 2018: Global Premier Soccer (GPS) is pleased to announce an extensive partnership with Hurst United Soccer Association which will see the Texas organization become an Official Powered By GPS Club with immediate effect.
Hurst United was established in the early 1980s with a vision of bringing youth soccer to the residents of Hurst, Texas. Since then, Hurst United has grown into a program that serves over 700 children per season. It is our mission to grow our organization by focusing on better coaching, better competition, and better skills, all while providing opportunities at every skill level.
GPS was formed in 2001 and is active in 25 US States as well as two Canadian provinces. GPS runs over 45 tournaments annually and has International academies in the UK and Spain. Since 2014, GPS has been the Official North American Youth partner of FC Bayern Munich.
As part of the agreement, GPS will provide technical resources and back office administrative support in marketing and program development. The two parties will also work together to create new programming for players within the Hurst United program and across Tarrant County. Also available to players will be the GPS National Team program which sees the best players from throughout the GPS network come together to compete in some of the elite youth tournaments in the World.
We are so excited about this partnership because it will put North Texas soccer on the map as a the new standard for coaching and player development. This will provide global opportunities for players coming through the Hurst program.
“Global Premier Soccer are very excited to announce our partnership with Hurst United Soccer Club,” said GPS National Premier Director Andy Prosser. “From our early discussions it was clear we shared a similar approach to player development and we are excited for the potential opportunities the partnership presents for players throughout Texas,” said Prosser.
Hurst United will be offering tryouts for their new Premier program this May as well as both groups working together to offer a camp this summer featuring a mix of Hurst and GPS coaching staff. Stay tuned for more details on both topics via our website.
