GPS International Academy Hosting February Vacation Program

February 2nd, 2018; Escape from the rigor of winter by participating in the inaugural GPS Feb. Vacation Spring Preseason Camp being held in conjunction with GPS Spain and the GPS International Academy in Valencia.

This is a one week camp, which is open to boys from the U15 to U18 level, that runs in correlation with February School vacations. Participants will spend one week, February 17th to the 24th, in Valencia, Spain enjoying the warm weather and gorgeous city while receiving top level instructions from Uefa Pro licensed coaches.

Players will receive full board and accommodation at La Petxina, home of the GPS International Academy and one of the premier sports centres in Spain. Daily training sessions will be supplemented by presentations from the coaching staff. Players will be able to experience a professional training program that is aimed at getting them prepared for their upcoming season.

As part of the tour players will also visit Spanish side Valencia CF where they will have chance to see how the La Liga outfit’s first team train and prepare. In addition to experiencing the open training session, camp participants will also be in attendance for a La Liga match at The Mestalla between Valencia CF and Malaga CF. A tour of the Mestalla, Valencia CF’s home since 1923, will also be included.

Seeing this as a true cultural experience, not limited to just sport, included in the camp is admission to the Principe Felipe Science Museum located in the famed City of Arts and Sciences district. The museum is one of the largest tourist attractions for the city and prides itself on the level of interaction its exhibits require boasting the slogan, “It is prohibited not to touch, not to feel, not to think”.

Opening in the Fall of 2017, the GPS International Academy in Valencia looks to provide players with an environment that would rival that of a professional sporting club. Players have access to state of the art equipment and facilities in the form of La Pextina in addition to top level coaching and exposure to the professional staff at Valencia CF. GPS understands that players develop at different times and rates and the facilities on offer allow for the perfect amount of support, expertise and guidance required for a player to reach their top potential.

This is a wonderful opportunity for players to trade the grey gloom of winter for the sunny beaches of Valencia, all while being exposed to top level coaching in as close to a professional environment as possible. It is a great way to get prepared for the upcoming season while experiencing a bustling and culturally rich city.
